LC Live 2014 event

On Thursday 2nd October our LC Live took place at West Ham United Football Club and was well attended by schools across London and the East of England. We used the event to launch our Google Glass Explorer Program, where schools can loan Google Glass to feedback innovative use within the learning environment.

Our event was headlined by Samsung Education who demonstrated the connected classroom. Where a teacher can control their interactive board with a Samsung Tab 4 along with managing a class-set of tablets and apps via the new Google Play education store. Samsung was also able to show attendees the new Android Cloud Printer and how this can be used with Google Cloud Print.

We put together a varied program based on programming within the National Curriculum. Where our partners delivered the following:

  • Lego – how Lego could be used within the computing curriculum covering KS1 through to KS4.
  • TTS – how their products can help engage pupils with computers within Early Years
  • 2Simple – how pupils can start to learn coding from KS1 right through to KS2 using Purple Mash 2Code
  • AVer ran a live video conference demonstration using the JANet network and ClassHD hardware bringing computing experts into the classroom in full HD

As a Google Partner Levett Consultancy also demoed to schools how Google Classroom works and how this is now part of our School ina Cloud product. We also offered a surprise for attendees by beingĀ able to demonstrate Windows 10 and how this will be part of our future School ina Box and School ina Cloud products.

A selection of Levett Consultancy Live 14 demonstrations will soon be available for everyone to see on our official YouTube Channel.
