Proud to support 45,000+ UK pupils heading to ‘Big School’!
On 17 June 2026, a major new collaborative effort was showcased to support thousands of children and their families across the UK as they prepare for the vital transition from primary to secondary school. Levett Consultancy is proud to support this new initiative as part of its ongoing social value community programme, acting as a strategic framework sponsor for the UK-wide debut of the “We’re off to the Big School: Class of 2026” virtual transition event.
In partnership with Tree of Knowledge and the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC), the ‘Big School Initiative’ officially launched, aimed at easing the anxieties and maximising the opportunities associated with taking the next big step in a child’s education. As an approved CPC framework partner, Levett Consultancy goes beyond deploying hardware; the company actively helps primary schools leverage cloud solutions to deliver high-impact experiences like this digital assembly. Through this collaborative sponsorship, the live-streamed session was made entirely free of charge for schools, ensuring equitable access to vital student development resources across the nation.
The live broadcast was a monumental success, connecting over 45,000 pupils from more than 900 primary schools. Rather than relying on standard lectures, the event leveraged digital platforms to create a memorable, highly interactive experience. The broadcast was packed with inspiration, featuring real-time interactive quizzes, structured “myth-busting” modules to address common high school worries, and motivational video messages from beloved TV stars, content creators, and athletes—including Joe Wicks, Team GB’s Amy Connell, and the Manchester United Foundation—to celebrate and reassure thousands of young minds.
Crucially, the session contextualised the journey ahead by sharing relatable advice from both older and younger peers. Pupils watched a reflective interview with a current Year 7 student sharing top tips on navigating larger school layouts and making friends through extracurricular clubs. In a brilliant contrast, the hosts also shared a segment interviewing 5-year-old Year 1 pupils about their own recent experience of starting “big school”, delivering charming, innocent, yet profoundly valuable life advice on the simplicity of making new friends.
To ensure long-term educational impact, participating educators have also been equipped with a comprehensive digital transition resource pack to continue these vital conversations in the classroom. This deployment includes over four hours of dedicated lesson planning, interactive mental health modules from Treehouse, and free supplementary content from educational tech hubs Purple Mash and Twinkl.
Speaking about the partnership, Paul Levett, Managing Director of Levett Consultancy, said:
“The transition to secondary school is one of the biggest milestones in a young person’s life. At Levett Consultancy, we believe that technology has the power to solve real classroom challenges and transform student experiences. By partnering with Tree of Knowledge and the CPC, we are thrilled to provide schools and families with the high-quality, free resources they need to make this transition as seamless, exciting, and stress-free as possible.”
