Levett Consultancy Google Event

Levett Consultancy held a dedicated Google Education event on the 19th October at Google’s new London HQ in Kings Cross St. Pancras. The event was designed to showcase Google G Suite in Education, the understanding of the Migration process and showcasing the benefits of the change in using Google technologies in Education. Opening the event was the Levett Consultancy CEO explaining the company’s journey from using Google technologies since 2009 and how technology has changed within Education landscape during this period.

Attendees then got the opportunity to get hands on with how to use G Suite and Chrome devices within a classroom. This session was led by the UK Google Education team demonstrating the varying uses and best practices using G Suite for Education.Rounding off the morning session, Paradigm Trust explained how Google technology is a foundation for the Multi Academy Trust to create a consistent learning environment across all schools. Bill Holledge (Chief Operating Officer) discussed with attendees how Paradigm working with Levett Consultancy implement Google technologies ensuring there is a positive learning impact.

The afternoon session started with a deeper dive into the elements within Google Classroom, where attendees had the opportunity to create Classrooms, assign resources and create assignments. Then interact as a student within their assigned classrooms. The final session of the day was to run through the G Suite admin console and Google core applications settings, including introducing attendees to the new Google Calendar just released. Levett Consultancy as part of this final session also covered G Suite security and how to update settings to comply with the new GDPR legislation being enforced from May 25th, 2018.
