The YMCA is a global movement with a Christian ethos, empowering individuals to reach their full potential in mind, body, and spirit. One YMCA supports local communities across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. With a 135-year history in Hertfordshire, One YMCA serves thousands daily, working with people of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds.

One YMCA staff faces a fragmented authentication experience, requiring separate logins for Windows and Chromebook devices. This poses security risks due to password fatigue and increased administrative overhead. Additionally, the disjointed login process hampers staff productivity and negatively impacts their overall user experience. A unified authentication system would improve security, boost productivity, and enhance the user experience.

Our project delivery team worked closely with One YMCA to understand their challenges and objectives. This collaborative approach enabled us to design and implement a comprehensive solution integrating Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace. By leveraging Entra ID as the central identity provider, we facilitated seamless single sign-on for One YMCA staff using both Chromebook and Windows devices. Furthermore, the solution automates user provisioning and de-provisioning across both platforms, streamlining IT administration and enhancing security.
