Blue Gate Fields Junior School, located in Tower Hamlets, aims to remove all barriers to learning and nurture children. Their goal is to help children develop into safe, caring, and responsible adults who make a positive contribution to British society and the world. The school's values are built upon the ideals of mutual respect, which are evident throughout the entire school community.

This school's server reached end-of-life and failed, causing disruption and costly repairs. To avoid future issues and leverage existing resources, they sought to migrate to a serverless environment using their Google Workspace platform and Google Credential Provider for Windows (GCPW). This move aimed to reduce costs, improve reliability and scalability, and enhance data security.

Levett Consultancy Project Management Team worked with the school IT Network team to plan, develop and deploy a hybrid cloud /server environment. Where we provided a complete migration solution, moving their data from legacy servers to a secure and reliable cloud environment within Google Workspace.

The first task was to upgrade Google Workspace for Education Fundamental to the Education Plus edition to provide the foundations for implementing hybrid server environments using Google Credential Provider for Windows (GCPW) to create a common identity environment.

Once the Google Workspace platform was configured our project delivery team updated 60 PC to Windows 11, then locally deployed GCPW and Google Drive for Desktop enabling staff and students to seamlessly access resources with their existing Google accounts.
