Virginia Primary School opens the Welcome Space

On Friday 4th April 2014 paralympian Wendy Smith officially open the new school house which was named The Welcome Space. Levett Consultancy is proud to have played a part in helping Virginia Primary School develop the The Welcome Space into a modern resource for staff, pupils and the community. Our small part in this building project was to ensure users of The Welcome Space have a consistent ICT experience inclusive of network infrastructure, telephony and end user devices.

An exciting part of the The Welcome Space building plans was the introduction of a green roof which brings many environmental benefits. Evidence also shows this roof type lasts longer and stays in better condition than a traditional roof. To ensure pupils also have an educational benefit from the green roof, our consultancy and technical services recommended and installed a green camera for pupils to watch and record the green roof wildlife in the heart of the East End of London.

The end result now is Virginia Primary School have a new building that staff, pupils and community are proud of.
